Sensitive Work, Trusted Personnel

The FBI needed an expansion of the footprint of their office in Boston, a job that carried with it a great many security concerns, both for the final structure and for the people undertaking the construction: Every Lake employee and subcontractor had to submit to fingerprinting and background checks before being allowed to work at the site.

Secure Construction

Lake had to build a special wall around the outside of the new construction. The wall had soundproofing requirements, plus structural strengthening—such as the inclusion of heavy gauge, welded wire mesh—to make it difficult for anyone to compromise the security perimeter.
